Day 1 - depart Johannesburg
Make your way to OR Tambo International Airport for you overnight flight to Istanbul via Cairo.

Day 2 – arrive Istanbul
Arrive at Cairo International Airport and transfer to your onward flight to Istanbul.
Welcome to Turkey! On arrival at Istanbul Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check in. Overnight in Istanbul

Day 3 – Istanbul sightseeing
After breakfast, you will be taken on a fully guided Istanbul walking Old City tour, visiting Topkapi Palace, Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Suleymaniye Mosque and Covered Bazaar.

Day 4 – Istanbul
Istanbul has been the centre of religion for centuries. After the ottoman period, Islamic religion spread throughout the city. The first mosque in Istanbul was built in Kadikoy on the Asian side of the city, which was conquered by the Ottoman Turks in 1353. The first mosque on the European side of Istanbul was built inside the Rumeli Castel in 1452. The first grand mosque which was built in the city is the Eyup Sultan Mosque (1458), while the first imperial mosque inside the city walls was the Fatih Mosque (1470) which was built on the site of the Church of the Holy Apostles, an important Byzantine church which was originally edificed in the time of Constantine the Great.

Day 5 – Istanbul to Bursa to Istanbul
After breakfast this morning, you will depart by ferry to Yalova city. After which drive to Bursa for a visit to Ulucamii (Great Mosque), Cumalikizik Village, Green Mosque, Green Tomb and Ozdilek Factory. After your tour of Bursa, depart back to Istanbul.

Day 6 – depart Istanbul
Check out of the hotel after breakfast. You will be transferred to Istanbul Airport for your departure flight via Cairo back to Johannesburg

Day 7 – arrive Johannesburg
Early morning arrival at OR Tambo International Airport.
