Passport control delays at BKK

Due to the renovation works under way at passport control areas in Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK), the time for immigration clearance could be lengthened.

Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes prior to flight departure for immigration clearance and security check to avoid delays. The renovation work is expected to last until June 30. The airport has also announced that it will cancel the Airport Express Bus Service with effect from June 1.

The transit Lounge is conveniently situated in the Domestic terminal and allows for domestic transiting passengers to relax and enjoy a free meal whilst waiting for a connecting flight, courtesy of SAA.

ALL passengers travelling on SAA to Mumbai and then connecting to a destination within India are encouraged to make use of this complimentary service that allows ease of access to connecting flights.

For ease of reference, the transit process is as follows:
1. Upon arrival and after complying with Customs and Immigrations requirements, passengers will proceed to the Domestic Terminal,

2. A Complimentary Coach service is provided by the Airports  Authority of India to ferry transiting passengers airside to the domestic terminal or Passengers can make use of private transfers from outside the International Arrivals hall,

3. Within the Domestic Terminal, SAA Passengers can make use of any of the following Transit Lounge outlets, courtesy of SAA:

3.2. Caffecino Express 1B Post-Security
3.3. Caffecino 1A Pre-Security
3.4. Caffecino Food Court Post-Security
