Discovery of Morocco is an in-depth tour of this fascinating North African country that begins in the famous city of Casablanca. After touring the capital city of Rabat guests will travel to the oldest Imperial city, Fez. The tour then heads east over the High Atlas mountains towards the golden sands of the Sahara desert. Here you will see traditional Berber villages, ancient Kasbahs and beautiful oases before returning to the west and arriving in bustling city of Marrakesh, home to many mosques, palaces and gardens and not to be missed will be the maze-like alleys with its thriving souks selling textiles, pottery and jewelry.

Day 1

* Welcome at Mohamed V airport. Assistance & transfer to Casablanca.
* Check in at the hotel; dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Fez
* Breakfast at your hotel.
* Meet with your tour guide and visit the economic capital of Morocco: Mohammed V square; central market; the Habbous District; residential district of Anfa & Ain Diab.
* Continue to Rabat; the white imperial city and administrative capital of the kingdom.
* Sightseeing includes the Mechouar (ramparts and walls surrounding the Royal Palace); the Oudaya Kasbah; the splendid Mohamed V Mausoleum; the Hassan tower; Travel to Meknes and see the old Medina surrounded by a 40 km walls and preserved by the most beautiful gate of Morocco: the Bab Mansour.
* Also visit of the Royal stables of Moulay Ismael; the Medina and the Jewish quarter.
* Continue to Fez for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

* The whole day will be devoted to sightseeing of Fez; the most ancient of the Imperial cities founded in the 8th century by Moulay Idriss II.
* Visit of the medieval Medina with its Attarine and Bou Anania Medersas (religious Islamic universities); the Nejjarine fountain; the Moulay Idriss mausoleum; and the Karaouine Mosque.
* The afternoon is spent at Fez Jdid.
* Dinner and accommodation at your hotel.

Day 4

Fez – Midelt – Erfoud (400 km)
* Depart for Erfoud via the mountains and the cedar woods of the middle Atlas passing by Ifrane; a charming ski resort and Azrou; an important handicraft center.
* Stop in Midelt for lunch (own expense).
* Continue to Erfoud via Errachidia and the Ziz valley and its palm groves.
* Dinner and overnight in Erfoud.

Day 5

Erfoud – Rissani – Tinghir – Ouarzazate (390 km)
* Early morning; optional jeep excursion to see the sunrise over the sand-dunes of Merzouga.
* After breakfast continue to Rissani; the holy city where Moulay Ali Cherif; ancestor of the Alaouite dynasty is buried. Visit of the Kasbah of the 17th century and the KsarAbbar ruins;
* onward to Tinghir via the Tinjdad road.
* Visit of the magnificent Todgha canyons which rocks reaching and altitude of 250 meters.
* Lunch (own expense) at a restaurant situated at the foot of the canyons.
* After lunch depart for the Dades canyons for a visit.
* Travel to Ouarzazate via the road of the thousand Kasbahs and the Dades valley famous for its roses and the yearly Moussem (rose Festival).
* Visit of the kasbah of Taourirt.
* Dinner and overnight in Ouarzazate

Day 6

Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakesh (230 km)
* Visit the Kasbahs of Taouirt Tiffeltout and Ait Ben Haddou; the most spectacular fortress in the south of Morocco; which has been the set of many films like “Lawrence of Arabia”.
* Lunch (own expense) at the terrace of the restaurant facing the Kasbah.
* Leave for Marrakesh via the Tichka pass offering an impressive landscape in the heart of the Atlas mountain chain .
* Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Marrakesh.

Day 7

* The entire day will be devoted in visiting Marrakesh; the second oldest Imperial city; known as the pearl of the South.
* The city was founded by the Almoravides at the end of the 11th century.
* Historic sightseeing includes the Menara garden; the Saadian tombs; the Bahia palace;and the Koutoubia .
* Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon; visit of the souks and handicraft quarters displaying a variety of items and the famous place Djemaa El Fna with its non-stop entertainment.
* Overnight at your hotel


Day 8

* Departure transfer to the airport of Marrakesh and assistance from our staff with check in and departure formalities.
* Services end at the airport in Marrakesh.
