Day 4

Prague (B)

  • Climb Petřín Hill for fantastic city views
  • Topped by what looks like a pint-sized Eiffel Tower, Petrin Hill is one of Prague’s most popular playgrounds. 
    Come for the woodland walkways, blooming rose gardens and gorgeous views of the city below – and don’t miss the Hunger Wall, a structure built in 1362 that takes its name from the claim the wall was, purportedly, built not for strategic value, but as a means to provide income to Prague’s starving population following a famine.
  • Planning tip: You can hike up and down Petřín or hop on the 19th-century funicular ; it’s part of the public transport network, so a free add-on to any tram or metro journey for those with a valid one- or three-day travel pass.
Day 5

  • It takes you to one of the Czech Republic’s most captivating Gothic towns. 
  • Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kutná Hora is renowned for its dramatic history and architectural treasures. The highlight for many visitors is the world-famous Sedlec Ossuary, a chapel adorned with the bones of more than 40,000 people, often referred to as the ‘Bone Church.’ 
  • Beyond this unique landmark, you’ll explore the medieval Old Town of Kutná Hora, with its charming squares, cobblestone streets, and the magnificent St. Barbara’s Cathedral, a jewel of Gothic architecture.
Day 6

Prague (B)

The currency in Prague is the Czech Crowns (CZK), also known as the Czech Koruna

Weather in Prague
In Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to October), Prague enjoys long spells of warm sunny weather, interspersed with overcast days and some showers.

When to visit Prague
Spring (April to June, including Easter is a popular time for tourists to visit Prague. This is closely followed by Autumn (September to October), and then December: the Christmas Markets usually run from late November to early January, when the festive atmosphere draws in visitors from around the world

Tipping
Workers in the tourist industry naturally welcome tips, although the feeling is generally relaxed. Staff do not tend to chase tips. 5% % to 10% is appropriate.
